TAKE A HIKE THIS FALL!
Fall is a wonderful time to go for a hike. In addition to being treated to a stunning landscape of vibrant red, orange and gold foliage, you have cooler weather and fewer bugs. The Bayfield River Valley Trail Association maintains seven recreational trails in and around Bayfield and the maps can be found at Our Trails.
There will be one guided hike in October. Join us on Saturday, October 24th at 11:00 a.m. at Naftel’s Creek. This is a beautiful, reforested conservation area with trails that wind through pine plantations, cedar lowlands and hardwood forests. This would be a great opportunity to enjoy the fall colours while meeting new people. Meet at the parking lot at the trail entrance on Highway 21 approximately 12 km north of Bayfield. Canine companions are welcome as long as they are kept on a leash.
