What better way to celebrate the United Nations World Environment Day than by joining other hikers at the Sawmill Trail, followed by refreshments at the end of the hike? The Sawmill Trail is on private property and made available through the generosity of the Bender Family. The Trail is full of different landscapes along the Bayfield River with interesting environments. There are views across the river of the Bayfield River Flats, which was purchased by the community on behalf of the Huron Tract Land Trust Conservancy.
